My 3 images are based on the concept of the classic children's toy, the paper doll. I wanted my work to be a play on nostalgia but with a modern twist. I looked at several different starting points including dolls in modern culture as well as a commercial output for the images. I would love to carry this project on in the future and create a website and videos to work alongside the images. The images are all heavily photoshopped and take several hours each to complete because of the time it takes to cut out the clothes so they do not have any sign of the background.

This project was different for me as I usually focus on street and documentary photography but I decided to change my focus on a studio-based project partly for experience and also for a change of shooting style having not worked with models and studio lighting before. I would like to carry on using the studio for projects however I still see my future as a documentary photographer.
