Leo Cinicolo presents

In the Light of Day

"In the Light of Day" was shot after much research into the conventions of location fashion photography, particularly the work of modern-day practitioners such as Guy Aroch. The relaxed look of the series shows a bond between photographer and model, one that is both creative and professional. The photographs were formed in a way that expresses the trend of dreams in photography and film. I wished for this to be rooted into the fabric of the images, hence the warm tones, and high-key lighting that gives the series its signature.

My practice before has consisted of a wide mix of fashion, portraiture, travel, and nocturnal photography. However I have recently focused on fashion and portraiture, aiming to become involved in this area of the industry upon graduating from art school. Getting out of the studio to shoot fashion was a new direction for me and it is certainly a direction that I will be driving my work towards in the future.
