"Eventually the loss of our planet is inevitable, whether from our own doing or events beyond our control. We will have to find a new home, or perish. But what would life be like after Earth?

John has always been interested in high-end digital manipulation and creative retouching; working at extreme levels of detail to produce complex and dynamic images. This series of photo-illustrations has been crafted with a commercial application in mind, the genre of 'popular science' exploding in popularity over recent years. Over time the set will be expanded to focus in on the individuals of these brave new worlds: a conceptual exploration of a possible future.

Digital imaging is not John's only approach in photography. He enjoys tackling a range of themes and issues, experimenting with archaic chemical processes and exploring how these can relate to modern digital techniques. John also has experience with video and web design, and is currently trying to find new ways of combining work from all these mediums."
