James Goodall presents
I have produced a series of images that portray an autobiographical concept of being able to visualise ones childhood in an emotionally psychological fashion. I feel the night-time atmosphere transforms the way in which we view play parks. For instance, during the day, a park is seen as a place for fun and games however, under the night sky; a park becomes a place of uncomfortable silence in which we can almost hear the playful laughter of the children who once played there. It brings to mind, ones childhood and the nostalgia that comes with it. My original inspiration came from my own personal life as I thought it would be easier for me to tell a story from my point of view however, I have come to realise that everyone has issues in their lives growing up so to make my piece more generalised, would make it appeal to a much wider variety of people.
